Hi All,

Time for a quick update from =MGUK=, well with the good weather and a lack of decided orientation towards which game, things can become a little confusing. So I will try to clear things up a little. As it stands currently with Bad Company 2, those chaps over at Dice have been promising a patch which is now 3 weeks overdue. The servers have had some traffic, but the main problem has been the lack of maps from that shower of (Insert_Favourite_abuse_term) that develop for the battlefield series.

So, what we have are two servers which do get traffic when we decide to dive into the game, maybe the patch will change that, then again maybe not. However those servers are paid up for six months in advance therefore we can switch those servers over to any game of our choosing. Maybe this will be the case with the incoming Medal of Honour or Black Op’s.

So in the mean time, we have been getting stuck into GRID, COH, WAW (yes world at war), MW2 and COD4. One of the forte's of the community is the ability to be able to jump into other games as a large group. But we do need to get some identity back a bit, via both COD4 and BFBC2 with a view to matches etc.

Our Broadcast server remains ever popular, and I recently added a very tasty stats system to the server, as well as in game admin, which makes things miles easier for control of the server. If you have not done so already, there is an article on the front page of the website about the XLR stats (The stats had over 1000 unique visitors within the first 24 hours alone, which is good going).

Personally I and a few others have started playing COD4 again, the game is stable, the server is rammed and it had caught over 109 cheats on the servers via PBBans since it started. The game itself is the last classic and completely immersive FPS that =MGUK= collectively gamed upon. So I hope to get a team together once again for some matches, so if you’re interested, dust off your COD4 and see if you still have the skills, Sheppy where art thou?

All three have been querying about recruitment for quite some time and they have been ever present on TS, as well as XFX being a fantastic admin for us now for many months. A few of them have BFBC2 also. Also for those who have not checked in for a while, pop a post on the forums please and let us know if you’re still about or we will have to revoke your access.
